At 9 a.m. you will find a simple and relaxed worship service called The Table. Join us at 8:45 am for gathering music to sing all kinds of music including Taize, modern Christian, and good old hymns. We take communion by intinction, meaning we walk to the table and break a piece of bread and dip it in a common cup. We practice open communion at all services, meaning everyone is welcome to partake (We believe it is God’s table and not our own.) The same sermon is preached in both services. The service lasts 40 minutes. The nursery is available.
At 10:45 a.m. you will find a vibrant traditional worship service. We sing traditional hymns and have a full choir, directed by Dr. Paul Hondorp, who heads the choral program at WKU. Children three years old to second grade attend Worship and Wonder, where they have interactive worship and are encouraged to wonder who God is through Bible stories. The sermon is always focused on justice and mercy and communion is the last thing we do. We serve communion by passing around trays. The service lasts one hour.
You may wonder what sort of dress is appropriate, but to us, we care less about what you are wearing and more about who you are. We welcome people wearing jeans or suits, dresses or pants, T-shirts or button-ups. We welcome you to come as you are.
