Rev. Kelley L. Dick
Kelley is orginally from Bardstown, Ky. She lived there for most of her life, except when she was off serving the world in a number of different capacities, every where from Lesotho; Africa, San Salvador; El Salvador, Yucaipa; California, and all in between. Kelley attended Eureka College in Eureka IL, and it was there that the calling from God was heard most clearly. She recalls working in a residentail facility for developmentally disabled adults, applying for an internship in Decatur IL working with youth, and being active on her college campus where she realized that she could do all of that as an ordained minister.
Kelley has been active in the church her whole life. While in seminary she served in a number of capacities. She served 2nd Presbyterian Church and Transylvania University in Lexington Ky as Campus Ministry Coordinator and Campus Minister to Presbyterian students. She also served as Youth Minister at Dry Ridge Christian Church in Dry Ridge Ky.
She currently works with the Youth Ministry Commission on the General Level of the DOC. Regionally she is an adult sponsor for the youth leadership team known as X Committee and is one of 3 coordinators of the West Area Youth Council. She has been active on many levels of the Disciples of Christ for as long as she can remember and has loved it all.
Kelley has a passion for life. She constantly tries to find new ways to help people experience God in a real, authentic way that is unique to them.
Here at FCC Kelley is our Associate Minister, she will be active in all areas of church life including but not limited to preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and she will give primary responsibility to our Children and Youth Ministries, College Ministries, Young Adult Ministries and our Disciples Women Ministries.
In her spare time, Kelley enjoys going to the gym, running, watching good movies, listening to lots of music, reading, traveling, volunteering for Special Olympics, eating good pizza, talking on the phone, texting her friends and family and watching Grey's Anatomy.
